Plain-English explanation of how this site is funded, the single commercial relationship that pays for it, and the line between editorial and the broker referral.

Last reviewed 3 May 2026

What pays for this site

One commercial relationship: an optional referral arrangement with The Mortgage Group Pty Ltd trading as ALG Australian Lending Group (Australian Credit Licence 505575, Credit Representative CR 392527).

If you submit the apply form on this site, your enquiry is forwarded to the partner. The partner contacts you, runs a needs assessment, and (if you proceed) compares lenders on your behalf and arranges the loan. The service is free for borrowers. If a loan settles, the lender pays the partner a commission, and the partner may pay Your Finance Guide a referral fee from that commission. The borrower's interest rate and fees are not affected.

Related-party relationship

Your Finance Guide and the broker partner are part of the same group of companies. We surface this on the footer of every page, on the Credit Guide, on the trust page, and here, because it is the most material conflict of interest a reader has reason to weigh.

We do not earn commissions from individual lenders. We do not maintain a panel of paid advertisers. We do not run sponsored placements inside editorial copy. The site has one commercial relationship and it is described above.

What does not influence editorial

  • Lender commission rates do not influence guide content or rankings. The partner is paid by lenders on a uniform schedule across the panel.
  • Lender marketing spend does not influence which products get covered or how they are described.
  • The decision to apply is the reader's. Most readers we hear from use the guides and never submit the apply form. That is an entirely valid outcome and is the reason the calculators and guides exist as standalone products.

Sponsored content

We do not publish sponsored content. If that ever changes, the change will be disclosed on this page first, sponsored items will be labelled Sponsored on the page itself, and the relationship behind the sponsorship will be named in line with the rest of our disclosure standards.

Affiliate links

Outbound product links on the site (where present) use the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute as required by Google Search guidelines, and pass through a tracked redirect so we can audit click and settlement attribution. The link target itself is not altered, the borrower lands on the lender's public application page or the partner's enquiry form.

Questions or complaints

For complaints about the referral relationship or the broker partner's conduct, please follow the steps in our complaints process. For editorial concerns about how a guide describes a lender or a product, email info@australianlendinggroup.com.au.
