An education site, not a broker
Most finance content is sales in disguise
Australian borrowers are surrounded by content that looks educational but is actually a funnel, comparison sites that rank by commission, broker blogs that bury trade-offs, lender pages that read more like brochures than briefings.
Your Finance Guide takes the opposite approach. Our guides exist to help you make a confident decision on your own, including the decision to walk away. Where a product has downsides, we lead with them. Where the maths is unforgiving, we show the worked example.
If, after reading, you'd rather hand the comparison work to a licensed broker, you can opt in to be matched with one. That referral is the only commercial relationship on this site, and it is fully disclosed.
Education-first content
Step-by-step guides covering every major Australian credit product, written for borrowers, not lenders.
Honest calculators
Borrowing power, repayments, stamp duty, LMI, and refinance, built so you can run the numbers yourself.
Optional broker match
Want to apply? Tell us what you need. Your enquiry is referred to a licensed credit assistance partner, see our Credit Guide.
Make finance explainable
Australian credit products are not as complex as the industry makes them sound. Our job is to translate the contracts, the policy quirks, and the maths into something a borrower can read in 10 minutes, and then act on with confidence, broker or no broker.
Four things every guide is held to
These principles shape how we write, what we publish, and what we refuse to publish.
Education first
Our guides are written to teach, not to sell. We explain the trade-offs in plain English, including when a product is wrong for your situation.
Transparent commercials
We don't lend money or broker loans. If you opt in to be matched with a broker partner and your loan settles, the partner is paid by the lender and we may receive a referral fee. Your rate is unaffected, and disclosed in the Credit Guide.
No pressure
Reading our guides shouldn't feel like dodging a pitch. Most readers never need a broker. The broker-match is optional and one click away when you do.
Accountable
Every page is dated, signed, and updated when rates or rules change. You can see when a guide was last reviewed and read our editorial policy in full.
